Some nice things to recall and think about (for 2021+) as we remain restricted in travel for the time being. These three New York hotels/venues topped our list for a 110-person, 3-day event where the criteria was: Located in central/lower Manhattan; felt new/modern; had 5-star service and food, as ensured privacy and anonymity. 

I know you can’t get to these in the near future but do keep them in mind down the road.  We’ll all be back travelling and hosting again soon.

1. Hotel Brooklyn Bridge: ** Named one of the Top 10 hotels in NYC by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards in 2019.  Located at the foot of Brooklyn Bridge Park, Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is a very unique corporate retreat within the city. Modern, industrial-chic with a green/sanctuary twist, this hotel provides a separate, open/flexible function-space to fully customize your event.  Wonderful restaurants, including a lounge for evening drinks overlooking the NYC skyline. Hotel amenities include a 24-hour Field House fitness center, pool, grab-and-go café (with a menu of locally sourced and fresh food) and some of the best-designed rooms we’ve seen in a while.

2. The Standard, High Line: Located in the Meat Packing District of New York, The Standard is wonderfully designed hotel with a unique series of venues.  All spaces are ‘5-star’ while having an edgy, global twist. The diversity of event spaces include a bustling German beer garden; calm breakfast/lunch bistro; bustling New York restaurant (great food & clinking wine glasses!); renown evening event space (Top of the Standard) as well as a rooftop disco bar.  All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of Manhattan and/or the mighty Hudson River. Walk right out the door onto the High Line!

3. The Wagner Hotel: The Wagner Hotel, located in the desirable Battery neighborhood in lower Manhattan, provides an excellent purpose-built function space for corporate events. Just a short distance from Wall-Street and One World Trade Center, The Wagner is nestled amid lush green parks along the waterfront and has unrivaled views of the harbour, including the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.  5-star spaces, service and support for corporate clients/travellers.
